Inspiration for Building a Culture of Champions
The journey of
Building
a Culture of Champions has been a lifelong pursuit, deeply woven into my own experiences and observations. It's a journey dedicated to equipping leaders to cultivate environments where human potential isn't just tapped, but is truly maximized. I believe the profound change we seek in organizations begins with the transformation of their leaders, especially in how they connect, inspire, and develop their people.
Let me tell you a story.
My first real taste of the principles of enduring success came on the soccer fields of Messiah University. Being part of three NCAA National Championship teams taught me there's a definitive blueprint for individual growth and collective victory, on and off the field.
Our head coach, Dave Brandt, won six national championships in 12 years. Then, his assistant, Brad McCarty, took over for my senior year and won five more. That kind of consistent, sustained success doesn't happen without a clear blueprint and principles that truly stand the test of time.
But the most powerful part of that program wasn't just the championships…
…it was how they developed
strong leaders, people who are now influencers in their networks, communities, and businesses. It was about the
person, not just the trophy. I saw firsthand a culture of
low ego and high performance, where everyone was eager to start, and even if you didn't, you understood your vital role. We held each other to a standard of excellence, doing the little things exceptionally well, on and off the field. So much of that came down to the
relationships and the
communication, lessons I didn't fully appreciate until I stepped into the corporate world.
You won't always win the trophy, but you can always make an impact on those you lead.
I entered the business world and immediately started noticing the gap.
I encountered many competent managers who could execute tasks brilliantly, but when it came to truly
inspiring people, building
psychologically safe spaces, demonstrating empathy, bringing out the best in people or setting a compelling vision…these critical communication and relationship-building skills were often missing. When I
did see these skills in corporate leaders, they often held similar attitudes and mindsets to those I'd witnessed in college. I began to identify clear trends of what truly worked and what held teams back.
This ongoing observation, coupled with my own journey of personal growth driven by seeing my coaches and mentors constantly invest in themselves, became my guiding force.I realized that leaders who consistently grew, who spoke a certain language of victory, and who communicated with intention built great teams and thriving cultures. Those who didn't often remained average or, worse, pushed good people away.
You are either intentionally building a culture of champions or you’re not. There is no middle ground.
Since 2010, this journey has led me to inspire over
30,000 professionals through 500+ presentations and engagements, and thousands of hours of one-on-one coaching all focused on leadership, communication, and maximizing human potential. I've witnessed firsthand the drain of a disengaged workforce, the hidden costs of talent turnover, and the scramble to rebuild culture in today's unpredictable economy.
This is why I designed the game-changing leadership framework, "Building a Culture of Champions." It's the definitive blueprint for taking the battle-tested mindset and leadership skills of elite athletic teams and applying it directly to your professional arena. My unique global and empathetic lens, shaped by my Malawian-American background, amplifies my ability to engage diverse audiences, forge genuine impact, and foster growth across any organizational landscape.
My proprietary framework transforms leaders into
authentic servant leaders who are catalysts for growth, equipping them to cultivate
psychologically safe, high-performing teams that consistently excel, so that you can develop top talent that would never want to go anywhere else.
“Building a Culture of Champions” is built on a foundation of authenticity, servant leadership, and a belief in the power of human connection.
My purpose runs deeper than skill-building. It's about maximizing human potential, sparking innovation, and fostering a shared destiny of unparalleled impact that creates genuine, lasting change in the lives of others.
Ultimately, I want to have an unspeakable impact in the lives of others.
Don’t you?

Core Values
“It’s not about what you say. It’s about how you make people feel.”
“What are YOU trying to accomplish? Do you have Whos in your life that give you the perspectives, resources, and ability to go beyond what you could do alone? Or are you keeping your goals so small to make them easier to accomplish them on your own?”
— Dan Sullivan, Best-Selling Author & Strategic Business Coach
Most importantly,
I would not be the man I am today if it wasn't for my wife, and best friend, Tara who is my perfect compliment. Whether it's a speaking engagement, transforming the next leader one on one, or even offering some words of wisdom to a stranger, my focus is to be an example the next generation can gather hope and inspiration from.
